Hard to believe we've come this far. Surely it hasn't been 15 years? I can remember sitting in this very same room, looking thru the doorway into the other room and imagining what it would look like having a child/teenager/adult walk thru that door. I was pregnant and completely full of wonder at what life would hold back then. Well, here we are. Josh is almost an adult and I'm feeling incredibly old; mentally and physically. He's taller than me...he thinks he's smarter than me...(not yet, but some day soon). I'm so very lucky to have Josh as my first-born. He's been a wonderful baby, beautiful boy...a handsome young man, inside and out.

Last call for Snow?!
Will we get snow before the month is done? 3 more days and we'll be saying adios to the cold, white stuff.
I know I've mentioned this before, but I just can't help myself. Is it an age thing? Are we naturally drawn to the birds as we get older? If I lived in the city, would I be sitting on a park bench, feeding the pigeons? I honestly think I would. I don't remember seeing/hearing as many birds as I have this year. I love it! Yesterday we noticed the buzzards are back. (I'm even enjoying these ugly characters) Every year they appear at our neighbors farm. It's the funniest thing. They each sit atop an individual fence post: 10 to 15 fence post's, each with it's own buzzard perched atop. What a picture that would make! Of course, being the shameful scrapbooker that I am, I never have my camera on me when I'm in the car. No matter - I wanted to share this adorable video commemorating the end of the snow. Enjoy!

The simple things in life are most precious!
Hope you're all having a productive day! Things are looking greener outside around here. The birds are so happy...and we're seeing new birds everyday. It feels so good to have made it thru another winter and into a new spring, which happens to be MY favorite season. New life...enjoy this sweet video celebrating new lives:

Silly wabbit!!
Can you stand it? Another gorgeous day...I'm hoping March doesn't leave like a lion.
A few years ago we let our daughter purchase a cute, black angora bunny. She named her Regina. Regina lived in a cage in the garage...don't all bunnies live in cages? Well, the following year we acquired 2 more cute bunnies; Wanda and Ginger.
They came with a cage too. (-: Well, we decided to join the 2 cages so they could all be "caged" together. 3 happily caged bunnies. Hubby gets to thinking one day...wonder if those bunnies could be put to work...3 little personal lawn mowers. Off to Lowe's he goes...purchasing fencing so he can put his idea to the test. Well, we've never seen these bunnies so incredibly happy. They were running and jumping and having a good time. Soon, they ran out of nice, green grass. Off to Lowe's for more fencing. It wasn't long before most of our back yard turned into bunny pasture.Good bye cages - hello freedom.
Aside from all the running, hopping, and playing around...these bunnies like to dig burrows. I had no idea they could do such a thing. But it's true...these bunnies are pretty smart. Here's a video showing you this awesome technique. Not our bunnies...but another very - happy -bunny.

Good day for fishing? Maybe not....
I think fishermen like those cloudy days...today is definately not that. Can't believe how many beautiful days we've had now. I haven't had to wash my car in two whole weeks!!! Love it. Here's a little movie for those dreaming of fishing....this is definately the kind of fishing I could get into. No worms, no hooks, no poles...how easy is that!

Shake, Rattle & Roll!
Ok - if you have a fear of snakes, you may want to watch with caution? But the snake is not the attacker in this case: he is the attackee...(is that a word?)

Can you say Beautiful??
Hi! It's so beautiful out, I totally forgot about posting a new video. Sorry!! In the true spirit of spring and getting our winter bod's back into some sort of shape, here is a tribute to the treadmill. Wish I had one!!

Black is the new Green!
Just thought I'd pass along something of interest: Matthew informed me that by turning the background on my blog black, I'm actually saving all of you energy. Yes, you're getting more bang for your buck by tuning into my blog. Black uses less pixels, which means less energy is required, which means your meter slows down when you check out my site. It's all about conserving what we have so we'll have more in the future.
Honestly though, I didn't know this when I turned it back to black. I just thought it was easier to watch the video's and read the blog with the black background.
So, what do ya think? (Yes, I'm fishing for comments. Give me some encouragement!)
Tomorrow I've got a treat...we're gonna get a visit from an Asian Garfield. (-:

Anyone up for a fight?
I don't know about you, but Spring Fever is stirring in our household. The dog is chasing the cats, the cats are chasing each other and the kids are becoming very ornery and rambunctious. So, put on yer boxing gloves and get ready:

Can you say "sneaky"....
One more day closer to spring! We're spending it doing some yard work...which means I won't be able to move much tonight. But pain is good, right? That's what they tell you in sports, but I don't know if it applies to those 40 and above. (-; Have a lovely day and enjoy this sneaky cat!

Never Let Go
Came across this video tonight and was drawn to it's message. I've never heard of the David Crowder Band, but I will be adding them to our library of music. It's a good reminder...we may let go of God, but He will never let go of us once we are His child. I never fully understood this concept until I looked at my firstborn for the first time. Unconditional love just cannot be explained - it has to be experienced.

Dancing~~
I don't know, but this 30 degree weather is not making me dance at all. Guess we'll have to dedicate this video to the fact that Spring... really is...just around the corner. Stay warm!

Sometimes, growing up is not an option!
This is for my dear friend Charity. It's a picture of our classmate, Scott. Yes, it's current. He graduated with us in '82, but he's actually OLDER than Charity and myself. Yes, purple is his favorite color. I used to think that was odd for a boy...even odder for a man. Man? I guess he is...(I'm sorta still stuck in 1982.) Charity's hubby is going to be spending time with this character...for 3 weeks. Um, I don't know if that's such a good idea.

Ninja Kitties
Good morning...I'm off for a busy day. The kiddos have swimming leagues and then I get to spend the rest of the afternoon scrapping with some girls. Ah, life is nice. In the meantime, enjoy this short little video...for all you Tae Kwon Do fans...

Dreaming Dog
Just so I don't appear biased, I'm sharing this hilarious video featuring a DOG! I certainly didn't anticipate this blog turning into an animal sanctuary, but I just can't help it. I'm surrounded by furry animals. Enjoy....

We've been bit by the bug~~
And this is a NASTY bug! I thought we were thru with the flu 2 weeks ago. Ha...must have been something else in disguise. Now we've got the bug of all bugs...fever that lasts more than 5 days, sore throats, horrible...deep coughs that make the body lurch in pain, headaches that just won't go away. And with a family of 5...this could become a really, really long and nasty recovery time.
Good thing we have our staples of comfort...whoever invented the tissue should be very blessed in deed.

Just Do It!
Ok, so I'm at a crop and the subject of blogs comes up. I say, "oh ya, I have a blog". They ask me, "what's your address"? I haven't a clue. I have to confess to this group of ladies that I've never actually posted before. I'm ....afraid...
What do I actually have to say that would be interesting anyway. I read others blogs and find them very entertaining and educational. Can I possibly offer that to anyone? I guess I'll never know if I don't at least try...so here I am, finally doing it!!
For my first post, I thought I'd share with you one of my feline friends sitting in his most favorite spot, which is located in my most favorite spot...my scrapbook table. I decided to give him a "throne" in order to keep him off of my vitals. So, it's working like a charm. But, I anticipate trouble in the near future...I have another feline who's been eyeballing the throne...Senior Steve.
